Riding Lessons

We offer private, semi-private and small group riding lessons for children and adults in Western and English disciplines. Lessons are offered Tuesday through Saturday, 9am to 6pm, year round. Homeschool families are encouraged to take lessons during the school day. We have exceptional school horses and offer a comprehensive program that includes:

  • General responsibilities of owning a horse,
  • Developing the equestrian knowledge, skills and coordination to “tell a horse what to do”,
  • Developing the balance and suppleness to make a horse’s job easier for him,
  • Safe handling of horses, and
  • Understanding horse behavior.
  • All students start out in private lessons, and then, if desired, can move into semi-private lessons when their skills reach an appropriate level. Each lesson is 1 hour in length, with 15 minutes allocated to grooming/horsemanship.

Safety is paramount and riders are required to wear helmets and appropriate footwear. A limited number of riding helmets are available for student use during lessons.
