Riding Lessons

We offer private, semi-private and small group riding lessons for children and adults in Western and English disciplines. Lessons are offered Wednesday and Thursday, 10 am to 6 pm, throughout the year. Homeschooling families are encouraged to take lessons during the school day. We have exceptional school horses and offer a comprehensive program that includes:

  • General responsibilities of owning a horse,
  • Developing the equestrian knowledge, skills and coordination to communicate effectively with your horse,
  • Developing the balance and suppleness to make a horse’s job easier for him,
  • Safe handling of horses, and
  • Understanding horse behavior.

  • All students start out in private lessons, and then, if desired, can move into semi-private or group lessons when their skills reach an appropriate level. Each lesson is 45 minutes in length, with 15 minutes allocated to grooming/horsemanship.

Safety is paramount and riders are required to wear helmets and appropriate footwear. A limited number of riding helmets are available for student use during lessons.
