Chai
I need a Sponsor!

Name: Chai
Breed: POA
Year Foaled: 1999
Gender:  Mare
Height: 13.3
Color:  Chocolate Palomino
Temperament:  In evaluation
(1=Very Calm...10=Very High-Spirited)

Chai was rescued from slaughter on 10/16/11 after spending two weeks in the 'kill pen'. She was left at the auction with her 4yo stud colt and is possibly in foal. Chai had a rotten tooth and needed veterinary attention. She had a dental float on 10/19/11 and the vet was able to remove the rotten and infected tooth. She is very sweet, and loaded easily into the trailer. She ties, crossties, bathes, lunges and longlines well! Chai is good with her feet, she is wearing the surcingle and crupper - we are excited to break her to drive and ride!

12/15/11 - Update! Chai is NOT pregnant!

We are in need of sponsors for Chai's medical bills!

Risky Business

I need a Sponsor!

Name: Risky Business
Breed: POA
Year Foaled: 2007
Gender:  Gelding
Height: 13 hh
Color:  Blue roan/blanket
Temperament:  Being evaluated
(1=Very Calm...10=Very High-Spirited)

Risky was saved from slaughter on 10/16/11 after spending two weeks in the 'kill-pen'. Risky is blind in his left eye from a blunt trauma - most likely at a very young age and is very well adjusted to his vision. We do not anticipate this causing any complications with his capability as a riding horse. Risky ties, cross-ties, bathes, clips, lunges, he is easy to catch, good with his feet, and is green-broke to drive.

Risk came in as a stallion and was gelded on 10/19/11. He had his teeth floated on 11/3/11 We are in need of sponsors for his medical bills!

Caspian

Name: Caspian
Breed: Welsh pony/Arabian
Year Foaled: 1996
Gender:  Gelding
Height: 13.3 hh
Color:  Grey
Temperament:
(1=Very Calm...10=Very High-Spirited)

Caspian came in the beginning of August 2011. He was rescued from a muddy field and then surrendered to NHS due to his training issues. Caspian is extremely head shy and likely suffered a trauma to his head/jaw. He is in rehabilitation to help him work through his fears and makes progress everyday! He is push button under saddle, and on a lunge line. 99% of the time he is easily haltered and bridled but occasionally gets worried and needs you to take a breath and take your time. He needs a soft hand (was man-handled) and a patient person. He is a finished hunter/jumper pony and has been successfully shown through 2'9" - he has WON and WON and WON!! He ties/cross-ties/bathes/clips/loads/hauls/great with his feet and so on! Up to date on everything and ready to go!

Envy
Name: Envy
Breed: American Warmblood
Year Foaled: 2008
Gender:  Mare
Height: 15.3 hh
Color:  Bay with a star/strip
Temperament:  5
(1=Very Calm...10=Very High-Spirited)

At barely two years old Envy was pulled off the slaughter truck in June of 2010. She is a very level headed 2yo, with a quiet smart and affectionate personality. She is currently enjoying being a horse while she continues to grow - standing at 15.3 already, we can only guess how big she will get. Envy ties and crossties, loads/hauls, clips/bathes, is a little wiggly but good for the farrier and vet, good in a stall, and easy to catch in the pasture - her ground manners are excellent. She is a beautiful mover, with gorgeous conformation and expression - she is quite the lovely lady.
